The term “fast food” has taken on a whole new meaning. Soaring grain prices may mean that families must make a choice — feed your children or feed your car.
There is always a crisis in the World somewhere and just pick up any newspaper and we can see that is fact. During the Russian and USA standoff which we conveniently called the; Cold War there was a Missile Gap and so we had to spend money to build more missiles and of course this is good news for Defense Contractors, as there is a lot less costs in building missiles than aircraft and since those missile may never be fired they would not need lots of pilots to fly them or fuel to put inside them and use up.
If you haven’t noticed, although I am sure you (and your wallet) have, gas prices have dipped to a 5 year low. My local gas station hit $1.33 per gallon, which when compared to where it was makes it feel like I am getting it for free, although I know that is not the case.
A great deal of research has been conducted to investigate the viability of alternative fuel sources in a bid to break away from our current dependence upon fossil fuels which are finite, costly, and produce alarming levels of pollution. So called “bio fuels” which sought to utilize vegetable oil and similar products have not proven themselves to be hugely successful, due to their gross inefficiency high cost both in terms of initial price as well as running costs as well.
There are many different alternative energy sources out there but they also come with a price. For example, electric powered cars need to have their batteries and motors replaced after so many charges and can cost thousands of dollars! I have found an excellent alternative source of energy for my car.
